Happy new year to everybody.
I have too many many projects and hopes for this 2010 :) But let’s see what you can expect here.
2009 fails and lessons:
- Big fail, TBF 2009 total income 0$. The goal was to help with hosting.
- WP security is important and it can be a pain.
- Grid hosting systems are great but there are still issues.
- Sometimes Flickr images are not showing despite of being there.
So for TBF I want to achieve 3 things this 2010:
- Fix unexpected DB issues. Some posts were affected (images, links, credits and images text have been changing, sorry I don’t have the time to fix this) and I haven’t found why this was happening, so I will probably will change hosting. If I manage to solve this issue I will try to automatize photo and data photo insertion. It is all manual now because it relies on insert order and it failed.
- Fix blog security issues, link injection has been a pain since summer.
- Fix the flickr image not showing despite of being there. The solution probably will be to host the images but this can consume a lot of bandwidth and I have to read the flickr guidelines.
For money I will only consider sponsorship related to photography, travels, sciences and culture.
Jacques Offenbach – Barcarolle , from ‘The Tales of Hoffmann‘ a piece of the 2010 New Year concert at Vienna, that my sister likes. The Barcarolle has been incorporated into many movies including Life Is Beautiful and Titanic. Offenbach died with Les contes d’Hoffmann unfinished.
How can I end a post related with New Year’s Concert without the Radetzky March? :) Enjoy!
